USB Hub FAQs
Where can I obtain drivers for my CyberPower USB hub?
CyberPower USB hubs use a generic Microsoft USB driver. If the hub does not install automatically as soon as the device is plugged into the PC, please visit
www.windowsupdate.com and verify you have all the available updates for your operating system. Please note: USB 2.0 hubs will only work with Windows 98SE and newer versions of Windows.
Why won't my device work in the hub?
First, try plugging the device directly into the PC, bypassing the USB hub. If it works in the PC but not in the hub, the hub may be faulty. Feel free to contact our technical support if this is your issue.
How do I know when the hub is powered by the battery (Model CPH420MP only)?
The red battery power LED will be lit. If it is not lit, slide the switch to the battery position.
When I connect the hub I get a message "The Generic USB Hub is a HI-SPEED USB device and will function at reduced speed when plugged into a non-HI-SPEED port." What does this mean?
This indicates the USB port in your computer is a low speed USB 1.1 port. This will limit the USB speed to USB 1.1. If you need high speed capability, you can purchase a highspeed USB card for your desktop or laptop computer at a local computer store.
