USB Hub FAQs
1. I need a driver for the hub where can I obtain one (model 411, 420p, 420mp)?
- The hub uses a generic Microsoft usb driver. If the hub is not installed automatically please visit www.windowsupdate.com and verify you have all the available updates for your operating system. Please note: USB 2.0 hubs will only work with Windows 98SE and newer versions of Windows.
2. My device won't work in the hub. Is the hub bad?
- Plug the device directly in the PC. If it works in the PC but not in the hub, the hub may be faulty.
3. How do I know when the hub is powered by the battery(420mp)?
- The red battery power LED will be lit.
- If it is not lit slide the switch to the battery position.
4. When I connect the hub I get a message "The Generic USB Hub is a HI-SPEED USB device and will function at reduced speed when plugged into a non-HI-SPEED port" (420p, 420mp).

- This indicates the USB port in your computer is a low speed USB 1.1 port. This will limit the USB speed to USB 1.1.
- If you need high speed capability you can purchase a highspeed USB card for your desktop or laptop computer at a local computer store.
