Senior Supply Chain Analyst

OVERVIEW

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst (SSCA) will be responsible for completing advanced and complex analysis, while leading tactical analytics projects which will include a combination of demand/ supply planning, distribution, inventory management, and customer service elements. Address more challenging customer needs, providing timely resolution in accordance with company and industry best practices. The SSCA will work closely with the sales and operations team to support and enable Supply Chain process capabilities and information for decision making, management, measurement, and control.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and analyze weekly supply chain data, analysis reports to support the West Coast and Canada forecast and replenishment process for supply chain management.
  • Collect and manipulate supply chain data to influence and drive strategic reporting and business decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly consignment account reporting and manage baseline analytics for review and alignment with supply chain management.
  • Contribute to product lifecycle assessments, manage new product launch and transition plans.
  • Prepare the monthly forecast template system and forecasting process for review by supply chain management.
  • Manage the forecast process for assigned specific product categories.
  • Support alignment with multiple sales channels on demand planning activities such as promotions, events, transition management, seasonal buys, to determine inventory replenishment needs.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment requirements across multiple DC locations.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives and present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Act as a mentor to other Supply Chain Analysts, providing guidance on best practices, consultation on company protocols, policies and escalation.
  • Collect and assess data, analyze performance, identify problems and develop recommendations to support Supply Chain Management planning and operations.
  • Provide management with timely, accurate, and pertinent information and analysis.
  • Develop analysis to align KPIs and supply chain management goals.
  • Work diplomatically and effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a business-related discipline.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in supply chain or operations in relevant field.
  • If no degree, seven years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Proficient in data management, spreadsheet analysis, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple channels to align on demand planning activity that drives inventory requirements.
  • Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that produce desired results.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers which includes coworkers, managers, customers, regulatory agencies and vendors.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting information, such as reports, general correspondence and policy guidelines, with the ability to share with others as needed.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard business and other work-related software with minimal instruction.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

  • Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
    • Strong Excel analysis skills are a must.
