Overview

Product Overview

The CyberPower SE450G-FC Battery Backup/ UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system safeguards desktop computers, networking devices, and home entertainment systems by providing battery power during power interruptions and surge protection. Data line protection for phone/network (RJ11) is included. The SE450G-FC has a capacity of 450VA/260 Watts and eight outlets, four widely spaced to accommodate transformer-based plugs.

The compact design allows for vertical or horizontal placement of the model, and the SE450G-FC can be wall mounted. Features include EMI/RFI Filtration, GreenPower UPS™ High-Efficiency Design, and sturdy construction. The SE450G-FC comes with a three-year limited warranty and a $75,000 connected equipment guarantee.

Product Features

  • Battery Backup
Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.
  • Surge Protection
Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.
  • Data Line Protection
Prevents power surges that travel through telephone/network lines from causing damage to electronics.
  • Standby Topology
Ensures that when incoming power drops below or surges above safe voltage levels, the UPS switches to DC battery power and then inverts to AC power to run connected equipment.
  • Simulated Sine Wave Output
Uses pulse wave modulation to generate a stepped, approximated sine wave to supply cost-effective battery backup power for equipment that does not require sine wave output.
  • GreenPower UPS™ High-Efficiency Design
Reduces power consumption, utilizing a compact charger and power inverter to create an ultra-efficient backup power system for home and office use.
  • Ultra Quiet Design
Minimizes noise during operation for a quieter work environment.
  • Three-Year Warranty
CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date.
  • Connected Equipment Guarantee
CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a power surge.

Feature Focus
Transformers and Transformer Outlets

A transformer converts alternating current line voltage to a higher value or a lower value. Transformers rely upon electromagnetic induction, the process which occurs when the alternating current within a circuit generates current in a nearby circuit.

Transformers vary in design and size, as well as using different amounts of current. Small transformers plug into a wall outlet and create low direct current voltages which are used by common electronic devices. Transformer outlets are more widely spaced than other outlets to accommodate transformer block adapters or other adapters that are large in size. Transformer outlets can be used to connect any appropriate device to a surge protector.
