How do I connect equipment to a Tamper Resistant (TR) Wall Tap? | Surge

Why won’t my device work in the USB hub? | USB Hubs
Try plugging the device directly into the PC, bypassing the USB hub. If the device works in the PC but not in the hub, the hub may be faulty. For additional information, please contact our technical support team.
Does AVR work on all outlets (Battery/Surge and Surge only)? | UPS
The AVR functionality is only for the Battery/Surge outlets. It will not correct the voltage on the Surge only outlets.
What is Cat 6 (Cat6)? | Cables
Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6 (Cat6), is a standardized cable for Gigabit Ethernet and other network physical layers. It is backward compatible with the Category 5/5e cable standards.
Can I add additional batteries to this Medical UPS to increase the runtime? | UPS
The M1100XL can have up to two (2) additional battery packs (model BP36V60ART2U) added to it via the connection on the back panel. The M550L and M750L are not equipped for additional batteries.
What about Category 5 vs. Category 5e? | Cables
Category 5 has been superseded by the Category 5e (enhanced) specification. The Category 5e specification improves upon the Category 5 specification by tightening some crosstalk specifications and introducing new crosstalk specifications that were not present in the original category 5 specification. The bandwidth of category 5 and 5e is the same: 100 MHz.
Can the Medical UPS be laid on its side? | UPS
Yes, however, the LCD panel will be easier to use when the UPS is in its standard orientation. If you choose to position the UPS unit in a non-standard position, make sure the fan on the back and at least one of the side vents are left unobstructed so the UPS has plenty of airflow.
What is Cat 5 (Cat5)? | Cables
Category 5 cable (Cat 5 or Cat5) is a twisted pair cable for carrying signals. This type of cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet. The cable standard provides performance of up to 100 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), and 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet). Cat 5 is also used to carry other signals such as telephony and video.
Can the Medical UPS be managed remotely? | UPS
No. A direct USB or serial connection is required to manage this UPS unit with PowerPanel Business software.
Will using an incorrect voltage damage the device? | Power Adapters
Yes. An incorrect voltage might damage the device. Check to make sure that the voltage selector on the Universal Power Adapter is set to the proper voltage for the device you want to connect.
Can this Medical UPS be used with non-medical equipment? | UPS
Yes. Desktops, laptops, USB hubs/chargers, phones and other equipment can be connected to this UPS as well. It will provide electricity to them during a power outage just as it would with connected medical equipment.
